Lavaca County Courthouse (Block 6 Lot 1 – 8) 

1854 January 7 – T. H. Hawks to William Tate (trustee of Collatinus Ballard) ½ of Lots 6 & 8 in Block 6.  Hawks owed Ballard money and put the lots up as collateral.  


Note: The following entry is for a deed involving property on Block 6.  Since Block 6 is the location of the Lavaca County Courthouse, the deed is either fraudulent or incorrect, but it is included for reference purposes.
